  1. Click Work Packages on the project home page.

  2. Select an IWP from the Work Packages browser.

  3. Click Schedule on the open IWP.

  4. Type dates for the IWP in the appropriate date box or select a date from the Calendar .

    You can assign a Planned Start Date, Planned Finish Date, Actual Start Date, and Actual Finish Date.

  5. Type the Estimated Man Hours for the IWP.

  • If a value is entered for a Planned Start Date, a value must be entered for a Planned Finish Date.

  • The Planned, Completed, and Actual hours are read-only on the Schedule window. You can edit the hours on the Components window. You can edit Planned hours for components you manually add to the IWP; you can enable the Actual column to edit Actual hours. As you mark progress for components, the Completed hours are updated.
