You can explore components related to the rules of progress data in the Rules of Progress Utility. Exploring components provides additional information about components and their relationships, allowing you to better understand your rules of progress data and any issues related to the rules of progress data.

Exploring components on the Rate Tables tab

  1. Log on to Smart Construction as an administrator.

  2. Click Administration on the Smart Construction Standard Toolbar and select Rules of Progress Utility to open the Rules of Progress Utility window.

  3. Click the Rate Tables tab.

  4. Type the location of the ROP.xml file in the XML file box, or click browse to browse to the location of the rules of progress XML file.

  5. Select an entry in the Component property values table.

  6. Right-click the entry in the Component property values table and select Explore like components to open the Components tab.

  7. Click the Actions menu to view properties of components, open related models, and show related work steps.

Exploring components on the Issues tab

  1. Log on to Smart Construction as an administrator.

  2. Click Administration on the Smart Construction Standard Toolbar and select Rules of Progress Utility to open the Rules of Progress Utility window.

  3. Click the Issues tab.

  4. Click Refresh to load components in the Issues tab.

  5. Select an entry in the Issues tab, or use CTRL or SHIFT to select multiple entries.

    SHARED Tip You can also right-click an entry and select Select All or press CTRL+A to select all entries in the Issues tab.

  6. Right-click the entry or entries and select Explore selected components to open the Components tab.

  7. Click the Actions menu to view properties of components, open related models, and show related work steps.
