  • You can relate drawings to CWPs in the project configuration workbook. Drawings must already be retrieved in your system.

  • Relating drawings to CWPs is for indicating the drawings referenced by the CWP and for defining the scope for planning groups.

Contractor

You can create contractors and relate them to contracts and planning groups in the project configuration workbook.

Planning group

You can relate planning groups to contractors in the project configuration workbook. The planning group must already exist in your project.

Construction Resource

You can create construction resources and modify their hierarchy in the project configuration workbook.

Import project data window actions

You can perform the following actions in the Import Project Data window:

  • Create - an object found in the input source does not exist in the Smart Construction database. Smart Construction creates the item.

  • Create relation - a relationship between two objects does not exist. Smart Construction creates the relationship. In the Project Configuration data, if an object in the relationship does not already exist, Smart Construction creates both the object and the relationship.

  • Modify - an object in the input source was found in the Smart Construction database but with different values for one or more properties than exist in the input source. Smart Construction modifies the object.

  • Delete - an object in the Smart Construction database did not have a matching item in the input source. Smart Construction deletes the object.

  • Hide - a construction resource is removed, but it is being used in an IWP, so Smart Construction hides the resource.

Import Project Data window validation

The following icons describe the validation for the Import Project Data window:

Details

green check_project import

Objects that have a green check_project import symbol already exist in your Smart Construction database with the same data as in the input source.

red mark_project data

Objects that have a red mark_project data symbol cannot be created, updated, or deleted because validation rules do not permit the change. For example, if an object had a Delete action, but a red mark_project data symbol, the item cannot be deleted from the database because of existing relationships or some other requirement.
