The Apply Display Set dialog is where you customize the color and width of graphic elements displayed on a Single Line Drawing (SLD), Cable Block Diagram (CBD), and a Wiring diagram.

You add filters (all ready created in Filter Manager) to your Display Set where you define a specific color and width that is displayed when the filters criteria are met on the selected drawing. You can also define automatic display sets, where the color and width of the drawings objects are automatically set by the software. The Automatically created display sets are stored in the Auto Display Set folder in the Plant Display Sets folder.

The Apply Display Set dialog is divided in to:

Toolbar

PPM All Outputs Graphic Add Folder

Adds an empty folder to the tree. You can use Rename to define a name for the folder. These folders can be used to organize display sets.

PPM All Outputs Graphic Add Display Set

Creates a new display set. You can use Rename to define a name for the new display set.

Auto Display Set Icon Create Auto Display Set

Opens the Create Auto Display Set dialog where you create a display set for a plant or a drawing along with filters. Filters are automatically created for the Plant Item properties you select.

PPM All Outputs Graphic Add Filter

Displays the Select Filter dialog. Select any displayed filter to add it to the current display set.

 PPM All Outputs Graphic Save

Saves the selected display set.

PPM All Outputs GraphicCut

Removes the selected display set and places it in memory.

PPM All Outputs Graphic Copy

Copies the selected display set into memory.

PPM All Outputs Graphic Paste

Pastes any values that are currently stored in memory.

PPM All Outputs Graphic Delete

Deletes the selected item.

PPM All Outputs Graphic Rename

Allows you to select on an item in the Tree and rename it.

PPM All Outputs GraphicMove Up

Allows you to move the selected filter name up in the list.

PPM All Outputs GraphicMove Down

Allows you to move the selected filter name down in the list.

PPM All Outputs GraphicProperties

Displays the properties of the filter.

These commands are dynamic and are available depending on the item selected.

Tree View

The tree view pane displays two main folders;

My Display Sets

Contains display sets for the specific user.

Display Sets

Contains display sets shared by all users and the Auto Display Set folder.

SHARED Tip Use the right-click shortcut menu to add a sub-folder to a main folder or add a display set to the selected folder.

Display Set Filters

The Display Set Filters pane, displays the filters assigned to the Display Set selected in the tree view. Here you can add filters, remove filters, change the order of the filters, select the color, and width.

Filter Name

Displays a list of filter names used in the Display Set. These filters are defined using the Add Filter command. For auto display sets the filters are created automatically using a defined naming format.

Color

Displays the color of the selected item for your display set. Select on the color field to display a color palette and select a color. For auto display sets the color is defined by the software.

SHARED Tip You can change the auto display sets colors, select on the color field to display a color palette and select a color.

Width

Displays the selected display width of items defined in the selected filter. Select to display and select the required width. For the auto display set the default line width as set in Options Manager is displayed for the defined object.

Use the Up and Down arrows in the toolbar to change the order of your display set filters. The software prioritizes the filters in descending order.

Legend

Select this check box to display the legend of a display set associated to a drawing. The legend consists of the color, name and description of the filters associated to a drawing.

  • The legend is displayed when a drawing is opened. If more than one drawing is open the legend displayed is for the active drawing. If the focus is switched to another drawing the legend automatically displays the new values.

  • If no display set is applied to a drawing then no legend is created.
