The software allows you to create plant drawings based on graphics files created in SmartSketch or any other CAD application. These plant drawings are called miscellaneous drawings. You create miscellaneous drawings by inserting an external graphics file into a Smart Electrical template.

After you create a miscellaneous drawing and save it to your Smart Electrical database, the software updates the drawing title block and the revision data. The software also enters the revision property macros, which enables the retrieval of information from the database when you reopen the drawing. Smart Electrical organizes these drawings in the Miscellaneous Drawings folder in the Electrical Index.

You can open a miscellaneous drawing and manage its revisions as you require. However, you cannot archive a miscellaneous drawing and therefore you cannot compare it with a previous revision.

Just like with external documents, Smart Electrical allows you to associate a miscellaneous drawing with an electrical item.
