Before you can share data from SDx2 in Smart Engineering Manager, the system administrator must register each plant with an SDx2 database. The connection allows the authoring tool to use the commands on the Integration menu. A Smart Engineering Manager administrator registers the plant. After the plant is registered, you can share data and use the SDx2 Client to browse integration data.
You must install SmartPlant Client.NET, delivered with SDx2, on your Smart Engineering Manager workstation before you can register plants.
