The Authentication server requires the following information:
Make sure you have obtained this information from your SDx2 administrator before you start the registration with SDx2.

Client Secret

Open Smart Engineering Manager using the Run as Administrator option.

Select the plant to register under Plant Structures in the tree view.

Select Integration > Register with SDx.

In the SDx2 registration wizard Design Tool Selection page, enter a Tool Description.
The Plant name and Design Tool (tool ID) settings are already populated.

Select Next.

On the SDx Authentication page, fields marked with a red asterisk are mandatory fields. Define the following fields as needed:

Server Url - Specifies the URL of the SDx2 site to register with.

Client ID - Identifies the Smart Client.
The following values in the SDx Authentication page, are not mandatory:

Identity Provider Key Name
-
Identity Provider ID
-
Client Secret

The values you enter above redirect you to the applicable authentication server Login dialog. The Login dialog is dependent on the Authentication server configured by your organization.

When you re-register a plant with SDx, the Server Url field is already populated by the software. Provide information for the Identity Provider Key Name, Identity Provider ID, Client ID, and Client Secret.

Select Next.

Enter your Username, Password, and Verification information. The verification process might request Email Authentication.
After verifying your credentials, the software connects to the SDx2 server.

In the Select SDx Work Area page, select the Work Area you want to connect to, from the drop-down list.
The Plant, Project and Existing Signature settings are read-only and populated by the software.

Select Finish.

Select OK to close the Registration completed successfully notification.
