Role name

If you defined the role using the Use local machine and domain groups or Use site server and domain groups option, displays the name of the Windows user group chosen for the role. You cannot change this name. If you defined the role using the Define role for specified users option, displays the user-defined role name.

Role description

Displays the description for the role. You cannot make changes to this description.

Users

RoleUsers

Displays the names of individual users only if the role has been defined for specified users (that is, when the role was initially defined on the New Role dialog, the option Define role for specified users was selected). If the role is based on a user group or domain, it is not possible to view the users belonging to that user group or domain, therefore this group box is disabled if either of the options Use local machine and domain groups or Use site server and domain groups were selected for the original role definition.

Add

When the Define role for specified users option is selected, allows you to add a row for typing a new user name. User names must be typed according to the Active Directory configuration using the syntax in one of the following options:

<User name>@<domain name>.<domain extension>, for example: ‘JSmith@anydomain.com'

The user's e-mail address, for example: 'John.Smith@MailServer.com'

Delete

When the Define role for specified users option is selected, allows you to delete the selected user.

Save As

Displays the Save as Template dialog, which allows you to save the current role settings as a role template for use in creating other user roles.
