This section explains how to prepare IIS on your machine and how to install and register Smart Engineering Manager Web API. The procedures described in this section are intended for Cloud and on-prem users with experience of software configuration.
The Smart Engineering Manager Web API component is required for working with the database using API requests or with the Smart Engineering Manager Web Application user interface. To work with the user interface, you must also install the Web component (for details, see Installing Smart Engineering Manager Web).
You can install the Smart Engineering Manager Web API and Smart Engineering Manager Web components on the same machine or on separate machines.
