Use this procedure to set preferences for export of Smart Instrumentation dimensional data for piping for the Plant Design System (PDS) application. You are required to set the following preferences, or accept the defaults:

Length and weight units of measure

File paths for conversion table files and export files

Deletion of spaces within the tag numbers
Setting the following preferences is optional:

Prefixes and suffixes that the utility adds to the tag descriptions in the MTO.dat file

Rules for overwriting previous load and log files and naming new load files
The MTO.dat file is a specialty material description library load file. For each
instrument for which the utility exports data, it contains the tag number and the
tag description that appear on the PDS bill of material.
