In this dialog box, you select and manage the following properties of your new EDE view.
Name — Type a unique name for the new EDE view.
Suppress Repeating Values — Select this check box to instruct the software to remove duplicate values from your query results.

When working with a Microsoft SQL database, selecting Suppress Repeating Values in combination with Note fields, causes the query/EDE to display incorrectly.

When any of the following Note attributes belonging to specific Item Types are included in your query, the complete EDE appears blank.

When adding one of these Note attributes, when the software detect that it is not compatible with your query a message is displayed on the screen, but the software does not remove the attribute from the query, this you must do manually.

Browser views that were converted to EDEs after upgrading from version 2013 that include any Note field, appear completely blank when opened. To correct these issues, in the Edit EDE Definition dialog box clear the Suppress Repeating Values check box.
User Default View — Select this check box to set the EDE View you want as the default EDE View every time you open the EDE. You can change your selection by checking this box in another EDE properties dialog box, which will cancel your previous selection. View Type — From the list, select the view type for your EDE view.
Published Document Type — From the list, select the document type that the EDE view will use for mapping between the tool schema and SmartPlant schema.
Report Type — From the list, select the report type for your EDE view.
Page Size —Type the number of rows you want displayed per page. (Default is 50, maximum 3000.)
Description — Type a description of the EDE view. This field is optional.
