Smart Instrumentation user assistance is an internet based help tool that supplies command information as you perform tasks. You can access different kinds of information any time you are running the software, or independently from the software on the web at Hexagon PPM Documentation. This information can include reference topics, narrative descriptions or overviews.
Apart from the Smart Instrumentation Readme documentation (available on the Installation disk), all the Hexagon PPM Documentation is accessible online. 3D, 2D, Schematics and so forth. The online help includes;

Installation Guides — Step- by-step procedures for installing our software on Oracle or SQL Server database platforms. These guides also contain important configuration information, useful tips, and troubleshooting advice.

Search - A versatile search application that allows you to search across all the Hexagon PPM Documentation, or by using various filters to narrow your search to a specific topic.

Creating Books - Our online help allows you to create your own books from the topic pages you require across all our publication. The books you create can be saved to the documentation web site or for you to create and print PDFs.
Context-sensitive help for an open window or dialog box is also delivered through the Hexagon PPM Documentation site.
To access the context sensitive help, do one of the following:

Click the Help button on the dialog box

On the toolbar, click the Help icon

On the Help menu of any Smart Instrumentation module, click Smart Instrumentation Help.

Press F1 on your keyboard.
User Interface Features — The user interface provides you with several ways to see command descriptions:

ToolTips help you find command names. When you pause the pointer on a toolbar icon, a yellow label displays the command name.

Microhelp messages that appear at the bottom of the window inform you about the command you are going to execute. Pointing to a toolbar icon or selecting a menu option displays a brief message on the status bar.
