This dialog allows you to determine which instrument tags and control system tags you want Smart Instrumentation to display in the Tag Coupling data window of the I/O Assignment window.
To access this dialog, in the I/O Assignment window, on the toolbar select Filter .
Plant
Allows you to select the plant whose tags you want displayed (not available if working in an owner operator domain). If you select a plant other than the current plant the option, Display current lowest plant group data only is disabled.
Filter for
These options allow you to set your filter criteria:
Unassigned tags coupled with control system tags
Displays instrument tags that have not yet been assigned to channels but have already been coupled with control system tags.
Uncoupled control system tags
Displays control system tags that have not been coupled with instrument tags.
Uncoupled tags
Displays instrument tags that have not been coupled with control system tags.
Assigned tags coupled with control system tags
Displays only assigned instrument tags coupled with control system tags. Selecting this option disables the other three options.
EDE filter
Allows you to select a predefined EDE filter for instruments so that you can filter out the instruments that you do not want to see in the I/O Assignment window.

This data window allows you to define a filter condition:
Property
Allows you to select an appropriate instrument tag property according to which you want to filter the data window in the Tag Coupling data window of the I/O Assignment window.
Operator
Allows you to select a comparison operator to determine how the instrument tag property selected in the Property field relates to the expression you enter in the Value field.
Value
Allows you to select or type a value to specify the instrument tag property you selected in the Column Name field. You can use wildcards such as % (percent) and _(underscore) to set the value.
Logical
Allows you to select the required logical operator to determine how the next filter expression will relate to the current one if applicable).
Add
Adds a new row to the filter definition.
Delete
Deletes the selected row from the filter definition.
Verify
Verifies the correctness of your filter condition.
Reset
Resets the current filter definition.
Apply filter settings in all sessions
Saves the filter condition settings and applies them the next time you open the I/O Assignment window.
Display electrical instruments only
Select to retrieve only electrical tag numbers.
Display current lowest plant group data only
Filters for the data of the current plant group data only (disabled if a plant other than the current plant is selected from the Plant list).
