You use this dialog to maintain the contents of the I/O type list in the Tag Number Properties dialog. I/O type is a tag number attribute that you can use when editing tag number properties in single or multi-row editing mode. For details, see Edit an Instrument from the Domain Explorer or a Typical Instrument from the Reference Explorer.
You can also use a selected I/O type as a filter when assigning tags to I/O channels of control systems.
The data window contains the existing tag number I/O types values and their descriptions. To edit an existing I/O type, select a row and then double-click in the field. To add a new I/O type, select New.
Find I/O type
Allows you to find a record in the data window. Type the item you want to find and Smart Instrumentation highlights the record in the data window below.
