This dialog enables you to regenerate single-section spec pages in batch mode. After you select target pages and select Run, the software automatically checks and eliminates duplicate data field names on the selected pages. Also, the software updates the length of a field on the selected pages page according to the length of the corresponding table column in the database.

Usually, batch regeneration of spec pages is required only once, after a version upgrade. Therefore, we recommend that your Domain Administrator perform this operation after upgrading Smart Instrumentation.

The dialog does not show composite pages because it is not possible to regenerate page sections in the Page Editor. If you want to regenerate sections that a composite page includes, open a specific page section in the Section Editor and then regenerate the section.

Find page

Allows you to type the name of a specific page. The software highlights the page in the data window as you type its name.

Data Window

Displays all single-section spec pages that exist in Smart Instrumentation. The pages are sorted alphabetically according to page name.

Select

Allows you to select a specific page for regeneration. Your selection is not saved when you close the dialog.

Page

Displays the page name.

Description

Displays the description of the page.

Custom

Indicates whether the default page was modified or not. If you did not modify the default page, this check box is cleared. If you modified the default page, this check box is selected.

Process Function

Displays the process function of the spec page.

Page Item Type

Displays the item type for which the page has been created.

Result

Indicates whether the regeneration process completed successfully or with errors. Regeneration results are not saved when you close the dialog.

Select all

Selects all the displayed pages for regeneration.

Run

Regenerates the selected pages.
