This dialog enables you to restore a spec form (one at a time). When restoring a form, the software automatically restores the default spec pages associated with the form and also restores page sections if the form includes composite pages. The default spec pages and sections are those that come shipped with Smart Instrumentation. Restoring library forms is necessary in the following cases:
-
When a form was previously deleted. You can only restore library forms provided with Smart Instrumentation. You can only restore a library form that was saved as an .isf file.
-
When you want to assign a library form to a Smart Instrumentation item that is not a tag number. After you restore a form, this form becomes available in the Select Specification Form dialog, and you can associate this form with the items that belong to the item type. For example, you can restore a form for the item type Hook-Up and then, this form becomes available for selection in the Select Specification Form dialog.
