You use the Section Editor to edit sections that constitute a composite page, or create new sections on the basis of existing ones. In the Section Editor, you can display one section at a time. It is possible to open and edit a section that is already assigned to a composite page, or open a section saved as a .psr file. In the Section Editor, you can display spec pages that include the currently open section but you do not perform any assignment operations. After editing the section, you need to create a composite page in the Page Editor and assigns the section to that page. The complete set of activities you can perform in Section Editor is as follows:

Edit headers and fields, in accordance with the section type (header section or data section)

Create a section by saving the currently open section under the new name

Save the current section as a .psr file so that you can open it in an external editing tool, such as InfoMaker

Modify position and size of various section objects, such as lines, text boxes, and so forth

Set the section field tab order for a data section

Regenerate the current section

Display all sections available in Smart Instrumentation and delete obsolete ones (if you delete a section that comes shipped with Smart Instrumentation, you can restore it whenever you need)
