The following commands are available on the Actions menu in the Section Editor.

Open Section icon 16bit (with border) Open Section

Opens an existing section from the database.

Open File

Allows you to set the section type as header section or data section and then opens a dialog where you can select a .psr file and open it in the Section Editor.

Page List icon 16bit Page List

Displays a list of composite pages that include the current section.

Save Icon 16bit Save

Saves changes you made to the section and also removes all table columns that are not used in the section, apart from system columns, custom field columns, and computed field conditions.

Save as File

Allows you to save the section as an external .psr file for editing in an external tool, such as InfoMaker.

Save Section As icon 16bit Save as Section

Allows you to save the currently open section under a different name. In this way, you create a new section on the basis of the currently open section.

Tab Order

Allows you to set the sequence in which you move the cursor in the data section you are editing. This way you determine which fields the cursor moves to when you press the Tab key.

Default Tab Order

Switches to the default tab order (available only for a data section, after selecting Tab Order).

Page Editor icon 16bit Edit Field and Headers

Opens the Edit Field and Headers floating toolbar and enables you to edit data fields in a data section or field headers in a header section.

Regenerate icon 16bit Regenerate Section

Automatically checks and corrects various discrepancies that might have occurred in the section.

Delete Section icon 16bit Delete Sections

Allows you to delete sections that are not in use in any composite page. If a section that you delete came shipped with Smart Instrumentation, you can restore it whenever you require using the Restore Form dialog. You cannot restore user-defined page sections.
