You use this dialog to convert specification revisions from one storage format to another. You can save revisions to the Smart Instrumentation database or as external .psr files, or compress them and save as a .zip file. You can also delete specification revisions that you no longer need.
Select spec revisions
Displays specification revisions with their properties and allows you to select revisions for which you want to convert the format or that you want to delete.
Item
Displays the item, or the master tag of a multi-tag specification.
Document Number
Displays the document number string.
Multi-Tag
When selected, indicates that the tag number is the master tag of a multi-tag specification.
Revision Number
Displays the revision number.
Revision Description
Displays the revision number.
Storage Method
Displays the most recent method of storage used for the revision — PSR files, ZIP file, or Database.
Case
Displays the tag case (if available).
Find
Use these options to locate a revision within a long list of revisions in the data window.
Tag
Allows you to type the tag number to go to the first revision for the item. The record is accessed dynamically as you type, and the text is case sensitive.
Document number
Allows you to type a document number to go to the first revision for that document. The record is accessed dynamically as you type, and the text is case sensitive.
Revision filter
Allows you to filter the displayed revisions according to the revision number, spec form, or plant hierarchy item (for example, Crude Unit1). Selecting Apply filters the revisions. Clearing Apply returns to the normal view.

When filtering revisions by spec form, if you select a blank row, the software displays specs belonging to all forms.

When filtering revisions by plant hierarchy item, if you select a blank row, the software displays specs that exist in all plant hierarchy items.
Select all
Selects all the tag numbers displayed in the data window for conversion or deletion.
Change storage method
Select the required conversion option when saving revisions:
PSR files
Saves each revision as an external .psr file in the location specified in the Administration module. This option is only available after the Domain Administrator, in the Report Management dialog, specifies the folder for saving spec revisions as .psr or .zip files.
ZIP file
Saves all the selected revisions as a single external .zip file in the location specified in the Administration module. This option is only available after the Domain Administrator, in the Report Management dialog, specifies the folder for saving spec revisions as .psr or .zip files.
Database
Saves the revision to the Smart Instrumentation database. For this option, the data is automatically compressed to save disk space.
Change method
Saves the selected revisions according to your selection under Change storage method.
Delete
Deletes the selected revisions.
