  1. In Smart Instrumentation, select File > Preferences > Specifications > Save as Excel.

  2. Select Delete temporary Excel files, and select OK.

  3. Save the problematic specifications in Excel format.

  4. For each problematic specification, send the following files to Customer Support:

    • From the <SmartPlant\Instrumentation home folder>\SaveAsExcel\ResultFiles folder send T_Form*.xls and LogFileForm*.txt (or the <tag number>.xls)

    • From the <SmartPlant\Instrumentation home folder>\SaveAsExcel\DataFiles folder, send Data*.xls and Form*.xls.

The Save-as Excel functionality only works with the 32-bit version of Microsoft Excel. You must also have installed from the Microsoft Download center the following file: Microsoft Access 2013 Runtime.exe.
