This procedure describes how to build a query, which is necessary for exporting Smart Instrumentation data to an external file that you can use to generate an InfoMaker report. The customized report created in this procedure is limited to only one data source and presentation style with no other adornments. This example uses information from the Instrument Index module to generate a report for the description of a set of instruments, including their service and function type.

  2. On the New dialog, select the Database tab.
