The link for which you want to enable reference tables must be assigned to the Single table import method.

  1. Select a link and open the Link Properties dialog.

  2. On the General tab, select Insert data into reference tables.

  3. Select the Style tab and do the following:

  4. Under Browser view, select the browser view whose fields you want to display when you open the current link in the Import Link window.

  5. Select Style Preview to display the list of data field names and table columns defined for the selected browser view style.

  6. Select Select View to apply the style settings for the current link.

If the Write into reference tables checkbox is selected in the table link properties, the Delete option in the comparison is disabled.

    • You can only select one browser view.

    • If you select Clear to clear the browser view selection, or select the Display all fields check box, when you open the current link in the Import Link window, the software displays all columns of all the reference tables as they are defined in the database. Selecting the Display all fields check box disables browser view style selection options.

    • The browser view list contains all browser views defined in Smart Instrumentation. You can define a new browser view in Smart Instrumentation if you find no suitable browser view for the current import link.

  7. Select OK.
