Select SmartPlant> Retrieve.

On the Retrieve Document dialog, type the path to the folder where the source .xml files containing the published data are located, or select Browse to navigate to the folder.

From the Document list, select the document that you want to retrieve.

Run the tasks that the software generates because of the retrieve. For details, see Run Tasks from the To Do List.

The software automatically retrieves the appropriate .xml files associated with the document that you select.

It is possible for Smart Electrical users to delete items that originated from Smart Instrumentation, such as cabinets. In this case, when data is next published from Smart Electrical and retrieved back into Smart Instrumentation, the software creates Delete tasks for those items in the To Do List window. If you do not want those items to be deleted from the Smart Instrumentation database, you should select
to remove the task from the To Do List window.
