Before using this procedure, make sure you meet all the prerequisites. For details, see Prerequisites for Exporting Data with the Fisher Interface.

  1. On the Main Menu, select Tools > Interfaces > Fisher.

  2. On the Export to FisherFind Items dialog, select the items you want to export.

It is possible that the data retrieved by the EDE may contain typical tags as well as process data. The typical tags data doesn't interfere with the export process. If you want you can use the EDE filters and remove the typical tags.

  3. Select OK.

  4. On the Save As dialog, locate the folder where you want to save the file.

  5. Type a file name.

  6. Select CSV (Comma delimited), from the Save as type list.

  7. Select Save to start the export process.

An appropriate message is displayed in the message ribbon on completion of the export.

Failing to convert units of measure will generate an error message. This means that the associated data was exported without the required units of measure (that is, the unit of measure fields in the Fisher data will be empty). In this case, you should select the required units of measure manually in the Fisher database.
