This topic describes the minor differences between publishing documents from an integrated environment in Smart Instrumentation and an Off-Site project. For more information on publishing documents, see Publishing Documents in an Integrated Environment.

  • No changes have been made to the actions in the Administration Module for configuring your integrated environment.

  • In the Project at the EPC location, the Retrieve and To Do List commands from the SmartPlant menu are disabled.

  • The Document Selection List contains only items from the Project.

  • Inactive (dummy) items in EDE Views are not publishable.

  • Each time a you publish a document and then claim or merge the document, SmartPlant Foundation requests that a revision number is assigned before it can continue. For example, in the As-Built (at the Off-Site location), you create an Instrument and generate a Process Data sheet and revision. You claim the instrument to the project and from the project you open the Process Data sheet and then publish the document. SmartPlant Foundation opens a dialog requesting a revision be assigned. This is also true when merging from a project back to the As-Built.
