The P&ID Drawing Viewer only opens drawings retrieved in this version of Smart Instrumentation. Drawings that were retrieved in previous versions and then upgraded to this version cannot be opened in the P&ID Drawing Viewer.
The Drawing Viewer displays a view only P&ID drawing associated with the selected P&ID document in the Documents List tab of the To Do List. Various color highlighting on the drawing indicates the status of the item:

Items highlighted in yellow represent new Create task items.
A pipe line connected to two piping ports only displays one section of the pipe in yellow. For example, a valve with four piping ports 1, 2, 3, and 4, have the same pipe line connected to ports 1 and 2, whereas ports 3 and 4 are connected to different pipe lines. On the P&ID Drawing Viewer the pipes connected to ports 3 and 4 appear in yellow, but only one section of the pipe connected to ports 1 and 2 is displayed in yellow.

Items highlighted in green indicate they are new Update tasks.

Items highlighted in magenta indicate that the specific item is selected on the P&ID Document Type tab, for more information see Highlight To Do List Items in the Drawing Viewer.

All other items, for example; completed tasks, P&ID items not relevant to Smart Instrumentation are displayed in black.
To open a P&ID drawing in the viewer:

In the Documents List tab, locate the document whose drawing you want to view.
The underlined document names have P&ID drawings that can be viewed in the viewer.

Select on the document name, the viewer opens as a separate floating window

Select to resize the drawing to fit the viewer's display area.

You can drag a side or corner of the viewer to resize the viewer.

Right-click on the viewer's Title Bar and use the shortcut menu to dock the viewer.

Select or to zoom in or out of the drawing.

After running the Create or Update tasks, to view the updated drawing close and reopen the viewer.

Changes made to the drawing in P&ID cannot be seen in the viewer until a new retrieve to Smart Instrumentation is initiated.
