The following menu items allow access to all the commands available from the Merger Session Manager window.
File > Open
Displays the Open dialog, where you can select the target domain's plant hierarchy item.
File > Change Password
Opens a dialog to customize the password.
File > Printer Setup
Opens your printer setup dialog.
File > New
Opens the New Log File dialog where you specify the name for a new log file that the software creates during the merging process.
File > Open
Selects the log file that you want the software to use during the merging process.
File > Delete
Selects a log file to delete.
File > View
Displays the current log file.
File > Close
Closes the current log file.
File > Exit
Exits the Merger Utility.
Actions > New Session
Opens a new session hierarchy in the Status Tree. You must type a name for a new session when you create one.
Actions > Open Session
Opens the currently selected session. If a session is already open, the software prompts you to save that session before opening the selected session.
Actions > Rename Session
Allows you to change the name of the selected session.
Actions > Duplicate Session
Opens a dialog that allows you to duplicate the selected session data to a new or existing session. If you select to duplicate to an existing session, the software replaces all the data in the existing session.
Actions > Save Session
Saves the selected session with all of its settings and values.
Actions > Delete Session
Deletes the selected session.
Actions > Connect to Source
Opens a dialog that allows you to connect to a source database and select all or any part of the plant hierarchy in a domain belonging to the database. From the dialog, you can also match the source and target <units> and naming conventions.
Actions > Select Items
Opens a dialog that allows you to select the required Smart Instrumentation item types for merging data.
Actions > Merge
Merges the selected source data with the target for the current session according to the merge options and data selection.
Actions > Complementary Data Validation
Opens a dialog that allows you to validate missing complementary data after you have merged data.
Actions > Comparison List
Displays the Compare Source-Target Data window for selecting item types and generating comparison lists for those item types.
Actions > Options > Select All
Opens the Merge Options dialog for specifying criteria for merging the data.
Tools > Table Definition > Custom
Opens the Table Definition dialog that allows you to modify the target table structure by changing the primary value and foreign key definitions.
Tools > Translate > Clear Custom
Opens the Translation dialog to switch between interface languages.
Tools > Edit Language Items > Non-custom
Opens the Edit Interface Text dialog to customize terms and phrases in the interface.
Tools > Selection Options > Clear Non-Custom
