The options on this tab allow you to set wiring and control system profile defaults for a selected telecom device type. Wiring and control system profile defaults allow you to create new tag numbers with certain predefined wiring settings. You can automatically define new telecom items as control systems so that new tag numbers with the current telecom device type profile become part of a control system that can send and receive signals. Wiring profile defaults for new tag numbers can also include automatic creation of control system (CS) tags, selection of default panels and cables, as well as a default connection type. Note that the wiring and I/O profile defaults can take effect only after you activate them in the Preferences dialog.
