This window enables a preventive maintenance technician to enter preventive maintenance details and create a work request if needed. It is possible to indicate the actual starting and completion dates, the service and down time, enter the maintenance activity results, failure reason, and the repair action. Note that preventive maintenance details are entered after scheduling the required PM activities.

To access this window, double-click the required preventive maintenance record in the Maintenance Activities Summary window

The following features are not accessible and are displayed for information only:

  • Criticality and Quality System (ISO) values are entered in the Associate Categories and Criticality dialog that you access from the Instrument Index Browse window.

  • The PM Code that you define in the Preventive Maintenance Activities dialog determines the Title and Typical Instrument fields.

  • Priority, Created By, and Creation Date values are entered in the Schedule Preventive Maintenance Activities dialog that you access from the Instrument Index Browse window.

  • Interval, Last PM, and Frequency values are entered in the Schedule Preventive Maintenance Activities dialog that you access from the Instrument Index Browse window.

The following features are accessible for editing:

Work status

Select the required work status. Work statuses are defined in the Work Statuses dialog.

Work order number

Type the work order number as needed. Note that work orders are preceded by the PM notation by default.

Maintenance staff (scheduled)

Select the workgroup to which this repair has been assigned. Workgroups are defined in the Maintenance Staff dialog.

Scheduled for

Enter or modify the date for which this preventive maintenance job was scheduled.

Calibration required

Select this check box if the instrument also needs to be calibrated. Note that this option is available only if you have made the required calibration settings prior to opening this repair form. Smart Instrumentation displays the latest calibration date. If you have defined this instrument's calibration settings but have not yet calibrated it, the software replaces the date with a sentence saying that no calibration information is provided.

Maintenance (actual)Starting date

Enter or modify the service start date.

Completion date

Enter or modify the service completion date.

Service time

Enter the number of hours this preventive maintenance service took.

Down time

Enter or modify the time the instrument has been down due to this preventive maintenance service.

Maintenance staff (actual)

Select the maintenance staff assigned to carry out this maintenance service.

Results

Select the required maintenance service result, for example Failed or Passed, etc.

Failure reason

Select the instrument's failure reason. This option becomes available if you selected Failed from the Results list.

Repair action

Select the required repair action. This option becomes available if you selected Failed from the Results list.
