The use of any special characters in an EDE Item, an EDE filter item name or as an
EDE filter parameter, causes the EDE to display the wrong results.
Prior to generating an EDE view, you have to make sure that you have an appropriate EDE view type under which your view will reside. Do the following to create a new EDE view type.

In the EDE Explorer, select

On the View Type Properties dialog, do the following:

Type a name of the new EDE view type.

Select a published document type.

If needed, type a short description of the new EDE view type.

Select OK.
