Specification sheets can be saved as PDF files. You can select one specification or a number of specifications. They can be saved individually as single files or you can save a number of specifications together as one PDF.

The specification files can be saved from the Domain Explorer, the Quick Search and Advanced Search, and from EDE views.

To save specifications as PDFs from any of the above, do the following:

  1. Locate and select one or more specification.

SHARED Tip Use the Shift or Ctrl keys on your keyboard, and select with your mouse to select more than one specification.

  2. Right-select and from the shortcut menu select Save Specifications as PDF files.

  3. Select one of the following:

    • Save to single file - the selected specifications are saved as one PDF document.

When saving to a single file, you are prompted to assign a name to the saved document.

    • Save to individual files - the selected specifications are saved one by one as individual PDFs.

When saving as individual files you are prompted to select a folder for saving your PDFs. The individual PDFs are then automatically named with the specification document number associated with the specification.

  4. Select OK. A progress bar is displayed.

    • When the process is completed, a message is displayed in the Message Ribbon.

    • When the Save to single file process finishes, the saved PDF is opened automatically.

    • In the event that a specification was not saved, a message is displayed in the Message Ribbon detailing which specification was not saved and the possible reason for this.
