  1. On the Link Properties dialog, select the Import Mode tab.

  2. Select Insert and update to enable refreshing.

  3. Under Refresh from source, select Apply.

  4. Select Parameters.

  5. On the Refresh Parameters dialog, under Target:

    1. From the Table name list, do one of the following:

      • Select the appropriate target table.

      • Accept the given default value (the current target table).

      • The target tables which are available to you in the Target section Table list depend on your target data type that you selected in the beginning of the current import session:

      • If you selected to import data into a specific table, only that target table would appear in the Table list.

      • If you selected to import data into a module, all the tables that are associated with that target module would appear in the Table list.

    2. From the Refresh key list, do one of the following:

      • Select the target table column to refresh during the import process.

      • Accept the given default value (the current target table).

  6. Under Source:

    1. From the Table list, select the appropriate source table. This box is empty by default.

    2. From the Refresh key list, select the source table column to refresh from during the import process. This box is empty by default.

  7. Select View saved parameters to automatically select the last saved refreshing parameters.

    SHARED Tip If you select Delete, you are prompted to delete the last saved refreshing parameters.

  8. Select Save to save the refreshing parameters you currently selected in the Refresh Parameters dialog.

  9. When prompted to confirm the new selection, do one of the following:

    • Select Yes to overwrite the last saved refreshing parameters and return to the Link Properties dialog.

    • Select No to return to the Refresh Parameters dialog without overwriting the last saved refresh parameters.

    SHARED Tip If you enable the data refresh option or overwrite the last saved refreshing parameters, you are prompted to use data refreshing or overwrite the existing target data during the current import session.
