The following commands are used when working in the Segment I/O Assignment window.
View > Refresh
Refresh the data displayed in the Segment I/O Assignment window.
Actions > Control System Tag Properties
The options on the General tab allow you to define or modify the CS tag name and description as well as view additional properties of the selected CS tag.
Actions > Assign to a Channel
Assign the selected segment to the channel you selected in the data window of the I/O card details pane.
Actions > Un-assign from a Channel
Discard the I/O assignment for the channel you select in the in the data window of the I/O card details pane.
Actions > Find Channels
Search DCS or PLC panels in the current <plant> for terminal strips with channels.
Actions > Channels
Opens the Channel Properties dialog where you can modify channel properties. Note that you can select multiple channels in the Assignment details pane of the I/O Assignment window.
Actions > Display I/O Data
View the input/output information for the current terminal strip.
Reports > Tag Assignment Report
Generate an I/O assignment report.
