You use this dialog to duplicate loops and typical loops. When opened from the Domain Explorer this dialog enables you to duplicate a loop and when opened from the Reference Explorer it enables you to duplicate a typical loop. The duplicated loop or typical loop properties will be identical to the properties of its existing loop.

Loop Number Data Field — Enables you to type the name of a new loop number. The data field displays the loop number name template that is based on the loop naming convention. You can type any character (letters, digits, spaces, and so forth).

Number example for a loop: 101–FIC    2225/E

You can keep the measured variable the same as the source loop or change it as needed. For more details, see Changing the Measured Variable.

Create in another unit

Select this option to be prompted to the Open dialog to create the new loop in another unit of the current domain.

This check box is not accessible when duplicating a typical loop.

The naming convention is hard coded for loops and cannot be changed.
