You use this dialog to create a new preventive maintenance schedule for the instruments you select in the Maintenance Module. Note that you must first define the required attachments, tasks, and activities prior to creating a new preventive maintenance schedule.

To open this dialog, in the toolbar, select Maintenance Module . From the module toolbar, select Open, and from the Schedule Preventive Maintenance Event - Find Items dialog, select the required tag to open this dialog.

The following features are available:

PM code

Select the appropriate preventive maintenance code so that the tags you selected are associated with the required PM code. The PM code is in turn associated with the appropriate tasks and attachments. If the required PM code is not on the list, select to open the Preventive Maintenance Activities and Tasks dialog where you can define a new PM code.

Assigned work group

Select the work group to which the preventive maintenance activity is to be assigned. If the require item is not on the Assigned Work Group list, select to open the Maintenance Staff dialog where you can add or modify the maintenance staff names and their work groups.

Created by

This field is not editable. It displays the name of the person who made this PM entry - the current user.

Priority

Select the required job priority.

Start date

Set the starting date of the preventive maintenance schedule.

Frequency

Enter the required activity frequency for the selected period.

Interva

Select the required scheduling interval: Days, Weeks, Months, or Years.

Limit by

Define the schedule limit according to a period of time or number of times that the activity is to be carried out.

Date

Set the time limit of the preventive maintenance schedule.

Number of PM Activities

Set the number of times to perform the preventive maintenance activity.

Scheduling Options

Set how you want to fine-tune the preventive maintenance schedule.

No changes

The scheduling remains as you defined it in the Start Date field.

Schedule jobs for

Fine-tune the scheduling by selecting a specific day of the week, for example every Tuesday of the month.

Schedule jobs for each

Fine-tune the scheduling by selecting a specific day of the month, for example every 15th of the month.

Preview (Data Window)

The preview data window displays the dates for which you scheduled preventive maintenance activities. You can also fine-tune the scheduling by editing the PM dates in this data window. Select the required PM date and modify the date as needed. All the changes are implemented after you select Preview. Note that the preview data window opens only after selecting Generate.

Preview

Displays the schedule in the Preview data window.

Generate

Generates the schedule records.
