  1. From the Hook-Ups or Loop Drawings module, select Tables > Macro Definitions .

  2. Select the required macro by choosing the item type and property, and where applicable, the relation between a specified item type and its parent. To do this, make a selection from each of the lists at the top of the dialog.

  3. In the Macro definition details data window, select the required macro definition.

SHARED Tip If there are a large number of macro definitions in the Macro definition details data window, under Find macro definition, select a column heading and then type a value. For example, if you select Function as a column heading and type a macro function value, in the data window, the software locates the macro definition to which that macro function belongs.

  4. To create a customized macro definition, do one or more of the following:

    1. Under User-Defined Macro Name, type the required user name for your macro.

      • The User-Defined Macro Name field must contain a name, it cannot be left empty. If a name is missing, the macro will not function and data could be lost.

      • Your user defined macro names must be unique, do not copy or use existing macro names as this results in the macros failing to display correctly.

    2. Select in the Description field and change the description as required.

    3. Under Macro Function, select a macro function to modify the appearance of the retrieved data.

    4. To add another customized macro definition, select New and repeat the previous step.

    5. Select Apply to accept your customized macro definitions.
