For a control valve for which you defined and calculated multiple cases, you use this dialog to create a hybrid case from the minimum, normal, and maximum flow coefficient values (Cv/Kv) that you calculated for the various cases.
The flow coefficients are displayed dynamically as Cv or Kv, depending on the method of calculation that you set for a given control valve in the Control Valve Calculation dialog.
You open this dialog from the main window of the Calculation module. Select Edit > Hybrid Case, then in the Find Tag dialog, select the tag that you require and select OK.
Case selection
This data window displays the cases that you defined for the current tag, and the most recent values that you calculated for the flow coefficients for each case at minimum, normal, and maximum. Select a value for minimum of the hybrid case, and then select Add Minimum. Select a value for normal of the hybrid case, and then select Add Normal. Select a value for maximum of the hybrid case, and then select Add Maximum.
Case
Displays the case.
Cv/Kv at Minimum
Displays the flow coefficient value at minimum.
Cv/Kv at Normal
Displays the flow coefficient value at normal.
Cv/Kv at Maximum
Displays the flow coefficient value at maximum.
Create hybrid
These command buttons copy the value that you selected in the Case selection group box to the Current values group box.
Add Minimum
Copies the currently selected value in the Case selection group box to the CvKv at minimum field in the Current values group box, and its case to the Case for minimum field.
Add Normal
Copies the currently selected value in the Case selection group box to the CvKv at normal field in the Current values group box, and its case to the Case for normal field.
Add Maximum
Copies the currently selected value in the Case selection group box to the CvKv at maximum field in the Current values group box, and its case to the Case for maximum field.
Current values
Displays the original case and the current values of the hybrid case.
