You use this dialog to select the fluid state — solid/powder, liquid, gas/vapor, water, or steam — for a tag or line that you create. If the process function for a tag is Analyzer, you also use this dialog to select the analyzer type — complex or simple.
When you open a tag or line number for the first time in the Process Data module, this dialog opens automatically. After you select an initial fluid state and select OK in this dialog, you can then change the fluid state only in the process data sheet, from the Fluid state list. If you are creating an analyzer tag, after you select Complex or Simple from the Analyzer type list, and then select OK in this dialog, you can no longer change the analyzer type.
Process data for
Displays the process function: General, Flow, Level, Pressure, Temperature, Analyzer, Control Valve, or Relief Valve. Note that this is the process function of the instrument type that you selected for the tag.
Fluid state
From the list, select the fluid state: Solid/Powder, Liquid, Gas/Vapor, Water, Steam or N/A or other.
Analyzer type (available if the process function of the tag that you are creating is Analyzer)
To create a complex analyzer, select Complex. To create a simple analyzer, select Simple.
Simple analyzers belong to the Conventional Tag Class.
