To allow the publication of wiring and their related objects changes need to be made in the SmartPlant Foundation Schema, so that the Cable Connection Browser document can be published to SmartPlant Foundation. This procedure explains how to update the Smart Instrumentation mapping definitions to allow the publication of the Cable Connection Browser to SmartPlant Foundation.

  1. In the folder where you have installed Smart Instrumentation, locate the file spiscw.exe file (SPISCW icon).

  2. Double-click the file to open the Schema Configuration Wizard and login.

  3. On the Welcome page, click Next.

  4. On the Select Domain page, select the required domain and click Next.

  5. On the Schema options page, select Change existing schema definition and click Next.

  6. On the Select Schema page, select TEFPublish and click Next.

  7. On the Select Document Type page, select Cable Connection Browser and click Next.

  8. On the Select Objects Type page, from the Available object types list select the following object types:

    • CableSet

    • Wire

    • Terminal

    • Strip

    Do not clear any of the already selected items. When you have finished selecting the list must contain the following:

    Cable

    CableSet

    Wire

    Terminal

    Strip

    Cabinet

    Panel

    Instrument

    ProfibusInstrument

    HartInstrument

    DieldbusDevice

    ElectricalSignalTag

    Revision

  9. Click Next.

  10. On the Define Object Levels and Restrictions page, define the object level as follows:

  11. Click Next, until you reach the Completing the Schema Configuration Wizard page.

  12. On the Completing the Schema Configuration Wizard page, select Save schema definitions.

  13. Click Finish.
