EDE Views generated in As-Built appear in the As-Built EDE Explorer as well as in the Project EDE Explorer. An EDE View generated in the Project, only appears in the Project EDE Explorer.

An EDE view generated in the As-Built is displayed in the Project EDE Explorer with PPM All Outputs Graphic next to the EDE View.

Trying to open an As-Built EDE view in a project, results in the in the View Properties (Duplicate) dialog box opening. To view the EDE, you must create a duplicate of the As-Built EDE View.

When working in an EDE View or Find Items dialog box, items displayed are color coded based on settings made in the Administration Module. The color coding is applied to Active and Inactive items in a Project, and Claimed Items, in As-Built.

The color displayed by the software is dependent on the items status, Active or Inactive, of the root item. The availability status of the root Item supersedes the availability status of the associated Item. For example, in the Administration Module you have set Active as green and Inactive as gray. If a Panel is Inactive (dummy) and a Strip is Active in your project, then the color displayed for the attribute Panel Name depends on from where the item was taken in the query. If it is an attribute of the Panel Item, it is displayed in gray (because the Panel is inactive). If it is an attribute of the item Terminal Strip, then it is displayed in green (because the Terminal Strip is active).

For more information on color coding, see Modify the Colors for an Item in the Administration Module help.
