The following commands are used when working with an single-tag instrument specification or with any other item specification.
Action Menu Commands
Open Specification
Allows you to open an existing specification or create a new one.
Save
Saves the displayed specification.
Save As
Saves the displayed specification as an external file.
Save as Excel
Saves the displayed specification as an external Microsoft Excel file.
The Save-as Excel functionality only works with the 32-bit version of Microsoft Excel. You must also have installed from the Microsoft Download center the following file: Microsoft Access 2013 Runtime.exe.
Import Data
Imports specification data from an external file.
Copy from Template
Copies specification data from a form data template.
Copy from Specification
Copies specification data from another specification.
Export Data
Exports specification data of the currently open specification.
Revisions
Allows you to manage revisions of the current specification.
Expand Notes
Displays the Notes page of the specification.
Manufactures
Allows you to add, edit, and delete instrument manufacturer data from the Instrument Manufacturer supporting table and lists.
Models
Allows you to add, edit, and delete instrument model data from the Instrument Model supporting tables and lists. Instrument models are categorized by instrument manufacturer.
Compare with External
Marks the values that differ from the data in an external .isf file.
Compare with Revisions
Marks the values that differ from the data in a saved revision.
Change Spec Forms
Allows you to associate the current spec with a different form and dissociate it from the current form.
Prints the displayed specification.
Refresh
Refreshes the display of data on the screen.
Options Menu Command
History Options
Opens a dialog to set specification history indication. History indication is only possible if the System Administrator has enabled audit trail functionality in your domain.
Mark Changes
Marks the changes in the current specification for the dates you selected in the History Options dialog. This option is available only if the System Administrator has enabled the use of audit trail options in the current domain. Enabling this option disables the Compare function available in the print preview.
