You can change the name of an existing control system tag, for example, if you replace an existing one with a newer model.

In the I/O Assignment window, select the control system tag that you want to rename.
You can select the required control system tag in the Tag coupling data window or in the Channel assignment pane.

Select Actions > Control System Tag Properties

On the Control System Tag dialog, type the new name of the control system tag.

Select OK.
