The options on this tab allow you to define I/O properties for a channel that was created on a terminal strip under an I/O card or I/O termination.
Note that this tab is not available for channels that were not created in the manner stated above.
Panel
Displays the name of the panel with which the current channel is associated. Note that this is not a direct association and several other hierarchy levels may exist between the panel and the channel.
Channel
Displays the name of the current channel.
Channel type
Allows you select an appropriate channel type. The channel type is a hardware or software definition of the type of signal that the channel conveys. Select to add more items to this select list.
System I/O type
Allows you select an appropriate I/O type.
Address
Allows you to type an address for the current signal.
Signal type
Allows you select an appropriate signal type.
Enable channel
Select this check-box to enable the channel
Range
These options allow you to define the channel range.
Minimum
Allows you to type a minimum range value.
Maximum
Allows you to type a maximum range value.
Unit of measure
Allows you to select a unit of measure for the maximum and minimum range values.
Enable channel
Select this check box to make the properties of this channel available for external DCS interfaces.
