You use this dialog to categorize and modify line data in your <plant>. This dialog also enables you to access the Line Properties dialog where you can create a new line or edit the properties of an existing line. Line data is a tag number attribute.
The data window contains the existing lines and their properties: line number, P&ID number, stream name, pipe spec, pipe standard, pipe material, size, <unit>, Schedule/PN (= pipe schedule), internal diameter, and wall thickness. To edit an existing line record, select a row and then double-click in the field. To add a new line record, select New.
Line type
Select a line type to filter the display of available lines in the data window. The line type that you select affects the items displayed. To add a new line type to this list, select beside the list arrow.
Show all line types
Select to display all the lines that belong to all the line types.
Find line number
Allows you to find a record in the data window. Type the item you want to find and the software highlights the record in the data window below.
Properties
Opens the Line Properties dialog that allows you to edit the properties of a selected line. Note that selecting Show all line types disables this command button (available only after selecting a line type).
New
Opens the Line Properties dialog to add a new line.
Copy Line
Copies the data of a selected line to another line. Note that selecting Show all line types disables this command button (available only after selecting a line type).
Change Type (available only after selecting a line type)
Opens the Change Type dialog to change the line type of the selected line. Note that selecting Show all line types disables this command button.
