You use this dialog to store instrument model data in the current domain. All instrument models are categorized by instrument manufacturer. Instrument manufacturer information is held in the Instrument Manufacturer dialog. Instrument model is a tag number attribute.

The data window contains the existing instrument models, their process functions and descriptions. To edit an existing instrument model record, select a row and then double-click in the field. To add a new instrument model record, select New.

Manufacturer

Allows you to select an instrument manufacturer to filter the display of available instrument models. The manufacturer that you select affects the models displayed. To add another instrument manufacturer to this drop-down list, select to open the Instrument Manufacturers dialog.

Find instrument model

Allows you to find a record in the data window. Type the item you want to find and the software highlights the record in the data window.

Instrument Model

Allows you to type an instrument model name.

Description

Allows you to type a brief description.

Model Identification

Allows you to type a model identification description.

Process Function

Allows you to select a process function to associate with the current instrument model. This value appears on the Module list in the Tag Number Properties dialog and in an EDE View of Instrument Index wherever there is a drop-down list (for example: Instrument Model column).

Change Manufacturer

Allows you to change the instrument manufacturer of the current model (available only after selecting an instrument manufacturer).
