Various additional software applications are included for use with Smart Instrumentation. The different applications are used to view and manipulate plant data externally, as well as export, and import data to Smart Instrumentation. Each application is a standalone application and can be used with or without Smart Instrumentation being installed on your machine. These utilities are installed separately from Smart Instrumentation and are listed in the following table.

Intergraph IDEAL API is a set of components that are used to generate reports containing Smart Instrumentation data. IDEAL enables you to retrieve data and display it in a Web browser in a format appropriate for the report type.
