As-Built
Describes the digital model intended to accurately represent the physical plant as it was built (constructed). Objects in the as-built model contain property values (for example, names/tags, contractor or industry commodity codes) that associate the model objects to physical objects in the plant. The term As-Built is synonymous with Digital Twin.
Brownfield
Describes a physical asset (model) that is undergoing a revamp, retrofit, or new construction (after demolition).
Greenfield
Describes the design and construction activities at a new location or an addition to an existing facility.
Native Objects
Describes an object created in Smart Interop Publisher. A native object is a fully functional object that can be modified and copied.
Smart Model
Contains graphics and data extracted from a variety of sources that have object and label (property) mapping standard between Hexagon Asset Lifecycle Intelligence applications in an integrated environment. The source file data is translated to file formats that can be opened in Hexagon Asset Lifecycle Intelligence design and visualization applications and is stored in SmartPlant Foundation. Applications such as Smart Construction that are integrated with SmartPlant Foundation can access the Smart Model data for operations such as work package creation.
Smart Document
Represents a 3D model or 2D drawing from Hexagon PPM applications such as PDS, SmartPlant P&ID, and Smart 3D (3D Model Data option) that can be published to SmartPlant Foundation and Portal targets using the SmartPlant schema. Smart Interop Publisher does not perform any translation and only converts objects to SmartPlant objects. All object property labels remain the same as originally defined in the source files.
Smart Drawing
Contains data and 2D graphics that are translated from Smart 3D-generated orthographic and isometric drawings. When you create a Smart Drawing, the graphics and data can be opened in SmartPlant Foundation.
Smart Interop Object (SIO)
Describes an object fit for purpose for Operations and Maintenance. SIOs can be generated from native Smart 3D objects, PDS data, and/or PDMS data.
Smart Interop Publisher Project
Provides a way to organize source files, Smart Models, Smart Drawings, and mapping information for a particular plant or section of a plant.
Source File
Specifies single file or multiple files required to produce a Smart Model.
Synchronize
Represents the process of sending data and graphics to SDx from Smart 3D. Smart Interop Publisher does not synchronize directly to SDx.
Target
Represents Smart Review, Smart 3D, SmartPlant Foundation, and the Hexagon Asset Lifecycle Intelligence web-based viewer (Portal) applications. Smart Interop Publisher also supports translation and export to specific Third-party target formats such as .ifc that can be opened by corresponding third-party applications.
Translate
Converts selected source files into Smart Models.
Transform
Moves and rotates a Smart Model into a specific location. Data is always moved with respect to the global coordinate system. If the area that you move was modeled with respect to a rotated coordinate system, the results of the move may not be as expected. This occurs because the software calculates the move based on the orientation of the global coordinate system, which is zero (0) degrees.
