Add

Allows you to select one or more source files. See Add 3D model source files.

Remove

Removes one or more selected Smart Models. See Remove a Smart Model.

Copy

Copies a selected Smart Model. You can then edit model properties. See Copy Smart Models.

Update

Updates the selected Smart Models. Use this command to update Smart Models when the corresponding source files have changed. See Update.

Compose

Generates an .svf Smart Model from selected Smart Models so that you can open them in Smart Review. See Create Composite Smart Models.

Open in Smart Review

Opens each selected Smart Model in the Smart Review application, provided the application is installed on your system. See Open in Smart Review.

SmartPlant

Revise

Creates a revision for the Smart Model with Major and Minor revision sets, depending on the revision scheme you have selected in SmartPlant Foundation. You must revise the Smart Model before publishing. See Revise

Publish

Publishes and loads the selected Smart Model data into SmartPlant Foundation. See Publish Smart Models.

Smart Model Grid Columns

The columns listed below provide read-only information. To see the column settings that can be edited in the grid, see Manage Smart Models from the grid. When you change a setting in the Smart Models grid, you must update the Smart Model.

Name

Shows the user-defined Smart Model name.

Location

Shows the file location containing the translated Smart Model files and generated folders.

Type

Specifies the translated Smart Model file (.vue, .zvf, .svf, or .bin). Smart Interop Publisher generates the required Smart Model files based on the selected target applications.

Model Group

Applies only to Smart Models translated from a MicroStation V8 source file containing one or more design models with the Translate each design model separately option selected. This option takes the individual design models in the V8 .dgn file and creates separate Smart Models. Smart Interop Publisher uses the naming convention [Smart Model name]_[design model file name] for each generated Smart Model. Use Model Group to organize your grid to see all Smart Models associated to a specific MicroStation V8 source file. See MicroStation options and Translate MicroStation V8 .dgn file.

Translation Status

Shows the translation progress. Click the log file link to see any generated log files. The log files display in your system's default text editor.

Translation Date

Shows when the Smart Model completed translation or the time when the translation process stopped.

Translation Time

Shows how long it took for the software to perform the translation.

Target Application(s)

Lists the selected target Hexagon Asset Lifecycle Intelligence applications and third-party file formats for the Smart Model.

SPF Publish Status

Shows if the publish to SmartPlant Foundation completed. A status of None means that the Smart Model has not been published. Click the log file link to see any generated log files. The log files display in your system's default text editor.

SPF Publish Date

Shows when the Smart Model completed publishing to SmartPlant Foundation or when the publish process stopped.

SPF Document Major Revision

Specifies the first part of a revision scheme, which normally changes when a document undergoes a major change.

SPF Document Minor Revision

Specifies the optional second part of a revision scheme, which normally changes when a document undergoes an intermediate change and release.

Revision Status

Specifies the Smart Model status, such as None or Complete.

Revision Date

Specifies the date when the revision was assigned. The column is left blank if there is no revisioning.

Mapping Files Location

Specifies the location of the selected type of Mapping Files.

Reduce geometry size

Specifies the Reduce geometry size option to use for source file translation. See Reduce the translated file size.

Remove outliers

Converts graphics and removes any graphics with extreme ranges or that are far away from the main model data. This option does not apply to MicroStation V7 .dgn source files.

The Reduce geometry size and Remove outliers options create GPolyMesh type geometries in the translated Smart Models. Polymesh geometries can impact Smart 3D modeling operations such as placing structures and selecting surfaces or planes to create relationships. You might also encounter problems with clash detection and drawings. For translated Smart Models, clear the selected removal option and Update the Smart Model to remove the issues in Smart 3D.
