Allows you to add, remove, revise, and publish specific Hexagon native source files to SmartPlant Foundation and Portal target applications. See Supported Smart Document Formats for a list of the support file types for Smart Documents. Because these source files are already formatted for the schema required by SmartPlant foundation, they are called Smart Documents.

If you do not require mapping or standardization of property labeling, use the Smart Documents view to revise and then publish or schedule a publish.

From this view, you can perform the following operations:

Add

Allows you to select one or more document files.

Remove

Provides the integrated commands listed below. The commands are enabled when you register your project with SmartPlant Foundation.

SmartPlant

Revise

Creates a revision for the Smart Document with Major and Minor revision sets, depending on the revision scheme you selected in SmartPlant Foundation. You must revise the Smart Document before publishing. See Configure different revision scheme strategies in the How to Configure Document Management guide.

Publish

Publishes and loads selected Smart Documents.

Smart Documents Columns

Name

Shows the user-defined Smart Document name.

Location

Shows the file location containing the Smart Document files and generated folders.

Type

Specifies the Smart Document file.

SPF Publish Status

Shows if the publish to SmartPlant Foundation completed. A status of None means that the Smart Document has not been published.

SPF Publish Time

Shows the time taken to publish the Smart Document.

SPF Publish Date

Shows when the Smart Document completed publishing to SmartPlant Foundation or when the publish process stopped.

SPF Document Major Revision

Specifies the first part of a revision scheme, which normally changes when a document undergoes a major change.

SPF Document Minor Revision

Specifies the optional second part of a revision scheme, which normally changes when a document undergoes an intermediate change and release.

Revision Status

Specifies the Smart Document status, such as Current or RESERVED.

Revision Date

Specifies the date the revision was assigned. The column is left blank if there is no revisioning.
