No, Smart Licensing is a much more intelligent license administration, management, and usage reporting environment and has the capability to determine when a process that is consuming a license is no longer there. When Smart Licensing detects this case, the license is returned (check-in) to Smart Licensing, so there is no need for the customer to take any action when the software-associated process fails. The check for present and active processes is done every 3 minutes.
